Bordeaux Yosakoi team

Our team was created back in 2010 by a group of French and Japanese students from the University Michel de Montaigne in Bordeaux. The club was later formalized in 2013 by taking its actual name KOIDOUKAI (鯉道会), meaning the "Way of The Carp", and becoming one of the Mandora association's workshop. Since 2015, Koidoukai is now an independent association (under the French law of 1901).

Mandora association is still involved in the club's visibility and invites the KOIDOUKAI dance team to its local events Animasia festival and the Anim'Haillan festival.

Activities and team's spirit

The KOIDOUKAI team enjoys performing Yosakoi Soran dances, far more rhythmic and vocal than other kinds of Yosakoi dances. Yet, this dance style stays open to all, youth and adults, male or female from 5 to 77 years old.

Some of the team members are fluent in Japanese, English and French. So don't be shy and send us a message if you want to talk about Yosakoi as it's with pleasure that we welcome foreign students or beginner into our team !
